MARTY INGELS died today.

I was first introduced to his talent as a kid, watching him on his slapstick television series with John Astin, 

I'M DICKENS, HE'S FENSTER

In 2007, I had the pleasure of spending an 

afternoon with him and his wife, 

Shirley Jones, at their home in Encino,

while interviewing Shirley

for A&U magazine.

I had the honor of talking with Jack for several hours some time ago.  What came from it is the article below.  I found him to be highly intelligent, extremely talented, and very talkative, eager to tell this willing journalist about his fascinating life in Hollywood, including stories on his friend James Dean and his one time boyfriend, Montgomery Clift.

THE "PRINCESS" REIGNS

 ASHANTI, the R&B dynamo, was lively, comedic, 

 contemplative -- and especially genuine today 

during our interview.

Interview was held at the Roger and Cowan offices 

in the "green" Pacific Design Center.

In my experience, they are one of the most 

cooperative and professional companies, 

as I worked with many of their agents 
through the years.  

Maureen O'Connor, Ashanti's publicist, 
exemplifies their exceptional qualities.

I'm saddened today by the death of WAYNE DYER.

Reading his two early books:  

YOUR ERRONEOUS ZONES and 

PULLING YOUR OWN STRINGS 

made an invaluable impact on my life.

I will continure to learn from him, 

even though he's passed from this plane.
